- Political prisoner Hamzeh Karami has written a letter to Khamenei detailing the tortures he endured in prison.
- Hamzeh Karami: They put my head in a dirty toilet 20 times to make me give false confession.
- Hamzeh Karami: When I screamed "Ya Allah" they said "we are your God today & will do to you whatever we want".
- Hamzeh Karami is now hospitalized with multitude of health problems as a result of all the tortures he endured.
- 17 prisoners in Evin going on their 10th day of hunger strike to protest their condition & tortures in Evin.
- Lesser known Grn prisoner: Gholamhousein Arshi 30, 1 of the 17 on hunger strike, arrested by photo ID after Ashura.
- Five of the 17 pol prisoners on hunger strike were treated at Evin Med facility & moved back into solitary.

- Hengameh Solouki (F) arrested on Ashura has been sentenced to 30 months.
- 1/18) Ahmad Bob was arrested Sept 27, 09 in a raid of his home. His torture started on the 1st night of his arrest.
- 2/18) Agents torturing Bob were asking him to confess to being member of a Kurdish opposition group. He refused.
- 3/18) 1st night they tied his hands & feet, blindfolded him & started hitting, kicking & beating him with a belt.
- 4/18) After a severe beating, they untied his hands & while 2 men were holding him a third forced his mouth open.
- 5/18) Using a per of pliers they started pulling on his lower teeth & eventually removed his lower front teeth.
- 6/18) In torturing him, they used batons, belts, pliers, hitting, kicking & profanities.
- 7/18) He was tortured from early in the evening until next morning. For the next 33 days he did not receive Med help.
- 8/18) Other torture methods used on Bob: making him do squats for up to 1000 times, make him stand for 10hrs.
- 9/18) Bob's tortured continued with the agents asking him to confess to spying for the US.
- 10/18) Bob was tortured for 33 days & threatened with rape. He could only use the bathroom 3 times a day.
- 11/18) His drinking water came from the toilet, he was kept in a very small cell the size of his blanket in those 33 days.
- 12/18) Interrogations would start in the early afternoon & continue until the next morning.
- 13/18) Bob was not allowed to take a shower for 33 days that he was under torture.
- 14/18) while his hands & feet were tied to a bed they would read the Quran & beat him on the bottom of his feet.
- 15/18) Many times he lost conscious during torture & they would pour water on him to bring him back.
- 16/18) They performed mock executions many times while asking him to give a false confession.
- 17/18) Other methods used on Bob: Holding his tongue with pliers they would pull him & run around the room.
- 18/18) They would make him go around the room on all fours & make animal noise.
- Ahmad Bob was finally released on bail after 165 days in detention. He has not been tried yet.
- 1/2) Bazar businessman Javad Lari 55, has been sentenced to death charged with Moharebeh.
- 2/2)) Javad Lari is a former political prisoner, he spent 3 yrs in prison in the 80's.
- Borzo Norouzi 17, arrested on Ashura has been sentenced by the Juvenile Court to 2 yrs suspended for 3 yrs.
- Families of the 17 political prisoners on strike have announced they are starting a hunger strike.
- This morning families of the 17 on hunger strike were turned away from Evin & not allowed a visit.
- Evin authorities threatened the families of the 17 on strike that they will send all 17 to Rejaishahr prison.
- Ahmadinejad invites Obama to a public debate in front of the media while he is in NY in Sept to attend UN Gen Assembly.
- Nine people in Kerman have received the death sentence charged with drug trafficking.
- Phone communications with political prisoners in ward 350 are still cut off causing extreme worry for their families.
- Mousavi: Injustice under any circumstances is terrible, be it during Pahlavi era or in the era of the Islamic Republic.
- Mousavi: Actually Injustice under the Islamic Republic is even worse, for it is done in the name of Islam.
- Mousavi: Does Islam sanction rape, or putting someone's head in the toilet to get a confession from them?
- Mousavi: People should decide their own destiny & not have a few make decisions for them.
