- 3rd grade Sistan province student died 1 week after being hit on the head by teacher for forgetting his book.


- Official IR news agencies had reported 5 men were hanged in Gonabad this AM. HRA reports a woman was also hanged this AM.


- A woman charged with drug trafficking was hanged in Gonabad prison this AM. Charges cannot be independently verified.


- 18 female political prisoners have been moved to the addicts section. 8 of these women have to sleep on the floor.


- Evin's women's addicts section lacks proper sanitation, no hot water & intrrupted runing water.


- Evin's women's addicts section was already overcrowded & not enough beds for the prisoners to sleep in.


- Pol prisoner Aliyeh Eghdamdoost is in solitary after protesting transfer of female pol prisonrs to the addicts section.


- High school student Sahar Sabetian was expelled from school in Sari (N.IR) for being a Bahai.


- Rofia Baydaghi of Bahai faith was arrested in Semnan on Sunday & taken to prison.


- Tehran Police announced 106 thugs & drug dealers were arrested in south east Tehran area last night.


- After 77 days in Sanandaj Intel detention Kurdish poet Behzad Kurdestani has been released on bail.


- On Mon 17 post-election protesters were pressured by Tehran DA Jafari Dowlatabadi to sign a letter of repentance.


- Imprisoned post-election protesters in Evin 350 being pressured to sign a letter of repentance.


- 40 young people were arrested in Shahriyar for holding a party in a coffee shop. 28 were male & 12 female.

- 4 members of Advar (Alumni Assoc) arrested last few days in Mazandaran & Mashhad have been moved to Evin.


- Afshin Housein Panahi has been sentenced to 1 yr. He is the brother of pol prisoner Anvar Housein Panahi.


- Afshin Housein Panahi was arrested last year after going to court trying to find info re his imprisoned brother.


- Journalist Nazanin Khosravani contacted family from Evin today. She is in 209 solitary.


- Temporary detention order of Kurdish author Behzad Kurdestani arrested 8/23 has bn extended another 15 days.


- Qom seminaries and Clergy very angry because of high expenses of Supreme Leader's visit.


- Mazandaran Uni student activist Alireza Kiyani was arrested by Plainclothes in Babolsar (N.IR) Sun afternoon.


- Lower court sentenced Alireza Kiyani to 14 months & 70 lashes, his case is under appeals. Reason for re-arrest unknown.


- Alireza Kiyani a post grad political science student arrested post election, was in prison 1 month & was out on bail.

Hiatus

Sorry I haven't been updating lately. I've been very stressed out plus I've been getting very little sleep. I just don't feel well these days, so I'll be taking a week long hiatus. I hope things will go well in the Green Movement, and maybe, depending on how I feel in the next few days, maybe I'll be back earlier than planned. But the maximum I'll be gone is a week.
