- 4 Kurdish political prisoners have received stiff sentenced charged with cooperation with anti State groups.


- Kurdish prisoners sentence: Nemat Eshaghi 12yrs, Peshtivan Asem 15yrs, Loghman Monfaredi 11yrs & Sabah Khayat 11yrs.

- Daryoush Arjomand a non-pol prisoner in Rejaishahr prison has died. He was in solitary for 2yrs.


- Arjomand was suffering from AIDS & did not received medical help during his time in solitary.

- Court was held for Dr. Akbar Karami in Qum yesterday. He was charged with promoting prostitution & insulting Ahmadinejad.


- Dr. Karami looked very thin, very depressed & overall looked not in good health.


- Dr. Karami is being charged with promoting prostitution for writing articles on equal rights in sexual relationships.


- Dr. Karami was already tried & sentenced to 3 yrs & fines earlier on separate charges.

- Kahrizak case has gone to the Appeals Court for review, once final ruling is issued they will be announced.


- In the Kahrizak case 2 received the death penalty, 9 received prison terms & 1 was exonerated of all charges.


- Nahid Malekmohamadi arrested 12/27 during the mid night arrested of her husband without a warrant is sentenced to 5 yrs.


- Malekmohamadi was pressured by Intel interrogators to confess to false charges which were used to convict her.


- Kurdish teacher Nemat Assadi was arrested 20 days ago by Intel, home searched & computer & Items confiscated.


- Nemat Assadi had been fired as a teacher in Kurdestan before his arrest, family has not been able to find his whereabouts.


- Ayatollah Bayat Zanjani: Stoning as a form of punishment is not mentioned in the Quran.


- Journalist & HR activist Shiva Nazar Ahari has bn in prison for almost a year, her trial date has yet to be set.


- This fall children in IR schools have a new curriculum added to their studies; Hejab & Chastity.


- 1000 clergy will be dispatched to IR schools this fall to teach children how to confront "Soft War".
