- Keyvan Mehregan interviewed Hossein Marashi regarding the post-elections events. Mr. Marashi assesses the recent events indicate that a third political group is gaining power. He calls this the "third stream". He believes that this group’s current priority is to target the reformists. They are currently putting pressure on Hashemi Rafsanjani and the followers of Imam [Khomeini]. He adds that at the moment they have not targeted the supreme leader but that with time and more power, they most likely will. Marashi also commented on recent statements made by the head of the revolutionary Guard where he demanded the arrest of reformist leaders. He thinks that these comments were made to assess the current political climate. Presumably, they were made to gauge the people’s reaction. If they do not see a strong reaction from the people, they will move in the direction of arresting reformist leaders.

- Student participated in another demonstration today at Tehran’s Azadi University. While the protest started peacefully, security forces used tear gas and pepper spray to disperse the crowds.
