- Kurdish prisoner Rahim Rashi on his 36th day of hunger strike, barely able to walk & has lost a lot of weight.

- 1 M signature campaign activist Maryam Bigdeli & Fatemeh Masjedi have been sentenced to 1 yr each in prison in Qum.


- Fars news reports executions awaiting leaders of the pyramid schemes. They have not even been tried yet.


- Kalemeh denies that there was any correspondence between Mousavi & Banisadr as claimed by pro Gov press.


- Mousavi's campaign manager Dr. Ghorban Behzadiannejad has been sentenced to 5 yrs & monetary fines.


- Dr. Behzadiannejad has been in prison for over 8 months under temporary detention order.


- Political prisoner Hmed Rouhinejad was transferred from Evin to Zanjan prison last night.


- Rouhinejad suffers from progressive MS & due to lack of proper medical help is almost blind & paralyzed in 1 arm.


- Rouhinejad was tried in 1 of the show trials, his forced confessions taken under torture were used to convict him.


- Rouhinejad was initially sentenced to death but Appeals Court overturned his sentenced & gave him 10 yrs.


- Political prisoner Ahmad Karimi was transferred from Evin to Gonbad Kavous prison last night.


- Ahmad Karimi was initially sentenced to death, Appeals Court overturned his sentence & gave him 15 yrs.


- Karimi was tried in one of the show trials & like Rouhinejad was tortured to make false confession.


- Karimi & Rouhinejad were connected with the case of Ali Zamani & Arash Rahmanpour who were executed last winter.


- Karimi, Rouhinejad, Zamani & Rahmanpour were all charged with being members of a Monarchist group.


- All four were tortured & made to give false confession which was used to convict them in the show trials.


- Families & people going to Khavaran cemetery today were attacked by police & guards, number of arrests were made.


- Khavaran is the cemetery that the victims of the mass executions on the 80's are buried, mostly in mass graves.


- It's been a tradition for families to go to Khavaran on 1st Friday of in month of Shahrivar.


- Witnesses say 5 girls & 1 man were pulled out of a car, beaten & taken to vans parked on the side of the road.


- The road to Khavaran was blocked & there were hundreds of police & guards stationed around the cemetery.

- 12) Karami was told if the court does not sentence him to death, he & his family wont be safe & they will go after him.


- 13) Karami was tried & found guilty based on all the confessions he made under torture. He is sentenced to 11 yrs.


- Babol Anoshiravan Uni student Nima Nahvi has started a hunger strike to protest his condition in prison.


- Managing Director of Khabar newspaper has been exonerated of all charges.


- Former VP Housein Marashi & journalist Hengameh Shahidi are banned from phone use in prison.


- 2 months since arrest of Teachers Trade Assoc members Mokhtar Assadi & Mahmoud Bagheri, they are still banned from visits.


- A prisoner in Uromiyeh prison has died as a result of head injuries inflicted by being hit with batons.


- Bahman Masoudi the murdered Uromiyeh prisoner was a non-political prisoner & was beaten by a guard named Khanzadeh.


- Upon hearing the news of killing of her son Bahman Masoudi's mother self-immolated in front of Uromiyeh prison.


- Masoudi's mother was taken to the hospital by paramedics. Current status & degree of burns are not known.


- Masoud Bastani's wife Mahsa Amrabadi reveals that Masoud agreed to false confession to obtain her freedom.


- Bastani was threatened with execution, was choked, beaten badly, his head banged against the wall.


- Bastani's wife says Masoud was the first pol prisoner sent to Rejaeishahr & reason was his statement are Ayatollah Montazeri.


- Kurdestan Chief Judiciary: Those who do not observe Ramadan fasting in public will be confronted.


- Kurdestan Chief Judiciary: Punishment for non-observance of fasting is 10 dys-2 mnths prison & up to 74 lashings.


- Political prisoner Reza Joshan has been under pressure & banned from visits for last 5 months in Gohardasht prison.


- Joshan is kept in a cell without windows or airconditioning, temperature in his cell is over 110 F.


- After missing 20 days, Kurds Dalir Roozgard & Ghiyas Naderzadeh both Tabriz U alumni have called family from prison.


- Hesam Tarmesi's father in an interview with Jaras talks about the torture his 20 y/o son endured while in detention.


- Mousavi warns about the Cyber Army activities in cyberspace spreading hate & division among the Greens.

- About a 100 Hormozgan Steel factory workers picketed the facility for not being paid wages for 3 months.


- 3 people were hanged in Esfahan Sun morning charged with possession & use of narcotics. 1 was an Afghan.


- GOOD NEWS: Evin hunger strikers were allowed to have family visits today. They are all doing well.

- 1) Participation Front member Mehdi Karimian Eghbal is suffering from depression in Evin.


- 2) Eghbal arrested 11/3/09, was in ward 209 under pressure until Jun 26, 2010 is now in ward 350.


- 3) Eghbal arrested for writing "death to Russia" on Russian Embassy wall, is sentenced to 4yrs on bunch of bogus charges.

- Javid Tehrani the last remaining prisoner from student uprising of 11 years ago. He is the only pol prisoner in ward 2.


- Women's rights activist Mahboubeh Karami has been released on $500,000 bail. She was in Evin 170 days.

- Last night from 8 PM to 12 midnight, there was a massive fire at 1 of the warehouses in Gohardash prison.


- Smoke from the massive fire entered the wards 3 & 4, causing breathing problem for the prisoners.


- The guards left the wards that were in danger of catching fire but left all the prisoner locked up in there.
