- 1/4) Few facts re the HORRIBLE stoning law in IR: In 2002 IR Judiciary said they will no longer practice stoning.


- 2/4) After Ahmadinejad's first term election, judges started handing down stoning sentences again.


- 3/4) In 08 IR Judiciary drafted a legislation to abolish stoning & submitted it to the Parliament for approval.


- 4/4) The Bill has not been approved in the Parliament as of yet.


- So far 7 Gonabadi Sufis have been arrested by Intel agents in Aleshter.


- Temporary detention order for labor activist Reza Shahabi has been extended for another 2 months.


- Shahabi was arrested at his place of work on Jun 12, has been banned from visits & allowed only few short phone calls.


- WARNING: life of Kurdish activist Rahim Reshi on his 25th day of hunger strike is in danger. He is Mahabad prison.


- Once again trial of Dr. Ghorban Behzadiannejad, Mousavi's campaign manager has been postponed. No new date set.


- Majid Pashai former Chair of Islamic Society of Mohaghegh Ardebili Uni has been sentenced to 2 yrs.


- Once again families of the 16 hunger strikers were prevented from visits by Evin authorities today.


- All 16 who were on hunger strike are still detained in Ward 240 solitary.


- Families were told protesting & hunger strike is not allowed in prison, they should have thought of the consequence.


- Evin Warden Sedaghat told pol prisoners in ward 350 "let what is happening to those 16 prisoners be a lesson for all".
