- Sharif UNI student Mehdi Elahyari has been released. He was arrested Dec 7.


- Zahabiyan received his sentence notification via his neighbor. Someone had dropped the envelope in neighbor's home.


- Zahabiyan says neither he nor his lawyer received a summon from court. Court says Zahabiyan did not appear.


- Ferdowsi UNI student Ashkan Zahabiyan was sentenced to 6 months in prison by a court without a trial.


- Blogger Ali Ashraf Fathi has been released on bail. He was arrested a week ago.

- Interrogations for about 30 Ashura detainees has finished & they have been moved from solitary to ward 350 Evin.


- 1- Political prisoner Ahmad Karimi arrested 40 days before the election, was tried as post-election protester.


- 2- Ahmad Karimi received death sentence based upon his forced confession & testimony he gave at show trials.


- 3- Ahmad Karimi a carpenter from Islamshar, left IR illegally & went to Iraq in the hopes of moving to the west.


- 4- Karimi's case in connected with Hamed Roholamini & the executed Ali-Zamani.


- 5- Both Hamed & Karimi retuned to Iran after contacting authorities & being assured of no problems returning.


- 6- Both Hamed & Karimi were interrogated upon return but were not arrested. They were arrested at a later date.


- Karimi's family has been trying to deliver a letter to the authorities in Justice Dept asking for review of his case.


- Karimi's family has even tried to deliver the letter to Ahmadi's office. Neither AN office or JD will talk to them.


- Salman Sima was treated at Evin Med facility & received stitches on his lips. Guard was reprimanded.


- Advar member Salman Sima was attacked & beaten by a guard at Evin. suffered cracked ribs & cut lips.


- New wave of students being summoned is probably to prevent students from participating in 22 Bahman.


- The summoned students are asked to provide names of other students who are political activists.


- Summoned Polytech UNI students are told they have pix of them participating in illegal protests.


- Intel Min & Polytech UNI campus security working together summoning students questioning them.


- Police Chief: Before arresting anyone we normally keep them under surveillance for 24 hours.

- Ahmadi-Moghadam said they are in the process of releasing more pictures & will ask public's help for identification.


- Ahmadi-Moghadam also said they made more arrests after they published pictures of Ashura rioters.


- Police Chief Ahmadi-Moghadam said they arrested about 600 people connected with Ashura events.


- Chief of Police Ahmadi-Moghadam said neither he nor his deputy Radan had any role in Kahrizak events.


- Detained members of Advar are under heavy pressure to participate in a staged TV interview & denounce the Org.


- The execution of Rahmanipour was carried out without advance notice to his family or his lawyer(against law).


- Rahmanipours body was turned over to his family on Sat 1/30. Family has been warned not to talk to media.
