- 1- Saied Mortazavi & his efforts to execute 3 political prisoners (see next tweets 2 thru 25).
- 2- Despite being gone from Tehran District Attorney's office for months,
- 3- ex prosecutor Mortazavi's still casts a controlling shadow in the halls of justice.
- 4- Three political prisoners are sitting on death row, unable to appeal their case or ask for a new trial.
- 5- Their case files & documents are nowhere to be found in the justice Dept.
- 6- Farzad Kamangar, Ali Haydarian & Farhad Vakili are all on death row & in danger of execution at anytime.
- 7- By taking & keeping the case files of these prisoner, Mortazavi has practically put a stop to any appeals.
- 8- Twice before Mortazavi tried to carry out these death sentences.
- 9- As Farzad Kamangar continues to declare his innocence, his attorney officially requested Justice Dept
- 10- for an enactment of Article 18 which allows a case to be re-opened & reviewed.
- 11- Finally the Justice Dept after months of not giving a concrete answer to Kamangar's request,
- 12- last September admitted they do not have his records on file.
- 13- It should be noted that at 2 separate times, these 3 prisoners were taken to ward-240 in preparation for execution
- 14- Both times the executions were halted by intervention of an entity of Intel Min which opposed the executions
- 15- With persistent follow up of family & attorney of Kamangar, on 1/31/2010 Justice Dept at last admitted,
- 16- from the time the review request was received 19 months ago these case files
- 17- were in the possession of Mortazavi, thus preventing any further action on these cases.
- 18- Justice Department officials have said they will question Mortazavi regarding this matter.
- 19- Currently Mortazavi holds the position of Deputy General Prosecutor of Iran
- 20- He was also appointed by Ahmadinejad as the head of Bureau of Anti Smuggling of Currency & Goods.
- 21- Mortazavi was found guilty by the Canadian government & by the Committee of Article 90 of
- 22- the 6th Parliament in the murder of Canadian Iranian journalist Zahra Kazemi.
- 23- She died while in the custody of Tehran Prosecutor Office.
- 24- Mortazavi was also was found guilty by the Parliament Fact Finding Commission as the main culprit.
- 25- in Kahrizak events that lead to torture & death of number of people during post-election unrest.
- Mourning mothers supporter Parvaneh Madah was released after 40 days.

- 2- Zaydabadi & Bastani were recently moved to Rejai Shahr prison where hard core criminal are kept
- 3- Cell mates of Zaydabadi & Bastani have been told they are banned from visitation due to their presence in the cell
- 4- Action taken by prison authorities can lead to retaliation by the criminals against the 2 journalists.
- CHRR: 8th member of Committee of HR Reporters has been arrested. Ali Kalayi has been arrested.
- Execution of Arash Rahmanipour has had an effect on the mental state of mind of Tajik. He is not doing well.
- Tajik along with Housein Nourinejad were cell mates of 20 y/o Arash Rahmanipour who was executed recently.
- Journalist Abdolreza Tajik arrested, released on bail & re-arrested after Ashura is suffering from mental distress.
- Siyamak Nadali ex Secretary of Lorestan UNI Islamic Assoc was arrested in Khoramabad. Whereabouts unknown.

- HR activist Sama Bahmani was arrested by Intel agents on 2/2 in Mahabad. Her status & whereabouts are unknown.
- Warning: Kurdish political prisoner Housein Khazri was moved to solitary Sat night at 10 PM.
- Housein Khazri was sentenced to death on Jun 11, his sentence was upheld by the Court of Appeals.

- 2/5- Ahmad Bahari arrested at 15 & sentenced to death was forgiven by the parents of the victim.
- 3/5- Despite all the evidence that Ahmad had acted in self defense, he was found guilty of homicide.
- 4/5- Ahmad arrested & sentenced 3 yrs ago at age 15 & has been in prison since his arrest.
- 5/5- With the efforts of activists & attorney Mostafai parents of the victim gave their consent for Ahmad's release.

- Journalist Zaynab Kazemkhah(F) was arrested at home 3 AM Sun by Intel agents. Items were confiscated.
- Journalist & Women rights activist Samiyeh Momeni(F) was arrested at home 3 AM Sun by Intel agents.
- Journalist Akbar Montajabi was arrested at his home 2 AM Sun by Intel agents.
