- Bail has been revoked for Advar member Mehdi Arabshahi. He has been called back to Evin to start serving his sentence.


- Mehdi Arabshahi was arrested last yr Ashura, was in prison 4 months than released on $200,000 bail.


- Arabshahi like many other prisoners in Evin suffered heart condition in Evin & had heart surgery last month.


- Blogger Housein Dreakhshan has been sentenced to 19 1/2 yrs & 5 yrs ban in journalism & pol activism.


- Housein Dreakhshan was also ordered to return the sums of 30,750 Euro, 2900 dollars & 200 pounds.


- It had been widely reported earlier that Prosecution has asked for the death penalty for Housein Derakhshan.

- Zia Nabavi was transferred fr Evin to Ahvaz prison & was attacked & beaten upon arrival at Ahvaz prison.


- Zia Nabavi is the Spokesman for Advare Tahkim (Alumni Assoc) , many of their members have been arrested & imprisoned.


- Zia Nabavi is sentenced to 10 yrs on bogus charges including ties with MKO which he has adamantly denied.


- Zia Nabavi is in the high security section with very harsh conditions, no airconditioning & 1 bathroom facility for the ward.

- Bail has been set for pol prisoner 22 y/o Naser Abdolhousein at $1,250,000. His family cannot afford such high bail.


- Abdolhousein without any prior political activism was arrested last summer & was tried in one of the show trials.


- Abdolhouseini was promised lower sentence if he made false confession. He implicated himself in court.


- Abdolhouseini confessed to ties with a banned group & in court said he threw molotov cocktail during 1 of the protests.


- IR is raising their ransom amount. Newest bail set for 2 prisoners $3,000,000.


- Ghazvin U student Alrireza Iranshahi has been released after 9 months in prison.


- Iranshahi arrested on Ashura, originally sentenced to 3 yrs, Appeals court lowered the sentence to 9 months.


- IR Intel Min: Agents responsible for Mahabad bombing have been arrested & will be put on trial within next few days.


- Mousavi's wife Zahra Rahnavard visited with family of Ali Hassanpour. He was killed last summer during street protests.


- Hassanpour shot to death during a peaceful protest. His body was turned over to his family after 105 days.


- Hassanpour's wife says from night of Jun 15, 09, when her husband didn't come back home, she started her search.


- Hassanpour's wife: On news sites, I saw pic of a man shot in the head laying on the street that resembled my husband.

- 1- More hangings in Iran: A man convicted of possession of narcotics was hanged in Esfahan province.


- 2- More hangings in Iran: A man convicted of rape was hanged in Kerman.

- Reports are that Court of Appeals has upheld the 8 1/2 yr sentence of student activist Majid Tavakoli.


- After torturing Hengameh Shahidi for months, IR is asking for $600,000 so she can get out & get medical help.


- Hengameh Shahidi's interrogators wanted her to make a false confession of having an affair with former pres Khatami.


- Journalist Hengameh Shahidi suffering from multitude of health problems including heart condition.

- 6 of the summoned students have been confirmed arrested & bail for them has been set.


- All the students summoned to the Judiciary branch of the Armed Forces were charged in connection with last year's protests.
