- Reason that IR banishes prisoners to prisons outside of Tehran is so they can beat the crap out of them.
- Zia Nabavi was transferred fr Evin to Ahvaz prison & was attacked & beaten upon arrival at Ahvaz prison.
- Zia Nabavi is the Spokesman for Advare Tahkim (Alumni Assoc) , many of their members have been arrested & imprisoned.
- Zia Nabavi is sentenced to 10 yrs on bogus charges including ties with MKO which he has adamantly denied.
- Zia Nabavi is in the high security section with very harsh conditions, no airconditioning & 1 bathroom facility for the ward.
- The first 2 days Nabavi was fed breakfast & dinner only & could only use the bathroom facility once a day.
- On the occasion of the new academic yr Karoubi has issued a statement wishing the release of all imprisoned students

- 2/8) Eskandari is asking the International Criminal Court in The Hague to send inspectors to Iran.
- 3/8) Eskandari a medical student was arrested along with his wife Kobra Zaghedoost on Junly 30, 2009.
- 4/8) Eskandari was in Evin 209 & Evin 240 for 7 months under severe pressure & torture.
- 5/8) Currently Eskandari is in Rejai Shahr prison in Ward 3 under harsh conditions.
- 6/8) Since his arrest Eskandari has not been allowed any contact with his wife & has no info re her status.
- 7/8) Eskandari hopes UN or Interntnl Criminal Court in The Hague will send inspectors to see him & other pol prisoners.
- 8/8) Eskandari's wife Kobra Zaghehdoost is currently in Evin.
- Arzhang Davoudi's wife issued a statement thanking all the activists & HR Orgs that supported her husband.
- Payman Aref has been summoned to Court in Evin. He was released on bail after a yr in prison last spring.
- Imprisoned HR attorney Nasrin Sotoudeh was not allowed to attend her father's funeral.
